I am Alyssa Jenkins, a young, aspiring artist. Throughout my life I have always been in love with art
and being creative. However, the true passion for me came when my father past. He was the inspiration that started my artistic development. We would draw and he would guide me. While I paint and draw, I feel closer to him. Also, my mother inspires me as well and is always encouraging me to create more.

Creating art also allows me to escape. I can either dive deep into how I am feeling at the moment or
create something that takes me far from it. Art is a universal language that I love to use to connect with a variety of people. If one of my pieces strikes up a conversation with just one new individual, it has done its job. My material of choice relies heavily on acrylic paint but, I do enjoy other mediums as well.

Bio
Alyssa Jenkins was born and raised in a small town named McClellanville, South
Carolina. She is the youngest of nine children. Alyssa accredits her artistic skills to her
father, teachers and professors, As well as her talented siblings who also possess the
creativity gene. She is currently working on developing a small art business for custom
pieces.
