Visiting Art Museums through the years revealed to me that I like various kinds of art and I find beauty and interest in viewing Fine Art and Abstract Art. I have a real and true love for colors, especially bold and bright colors. I have painted throughout the years, along with making bead bracelets, greeting cards, mini quilts and decorative accent pillows.
When I prepare to start to paint a painting, I often don’t know what glorious colors I am going to use. It’s a lovely dance between me, my paints and canvas each time I paint. I use mixed media when I create my colorful abstract paintings.
Bio
Hope’s artistic name is Violetlight and currently resides in the Spartanburg-Roebuck South Carolina area. Without professional training, she is a self-taught abstract artist/painter. She was led to buy art supplies through the years and just paint! Although living her life, having family, and working led to her often to set her painting aside, she has found out in recent months that no matter wherever she breathes, moves, lives and has her being she cannot not paint. Painting brings her peace and comfort and joy. After her only son passed away in October 2023, Hope was able to find much needed
healing through her painting.
