While we have been closed, our members have been oh so busy with several maintenance projects at the Collective. In addition to many smaller projects, we built a new entry way, remodeled our retail gallery, and updated all of our signage.

September Member Exhibit Sans Verde ... exploring a new palette Carol Story
Our September exhibit features artworks by Carol Story.
Southern landscapes and nature scenes are brought to life by Carol's skilled brush strokes.
“I seek to represent what I see, as well as my response to it,” she says.
“This exhibit is the result of a self-imposed challenge, which has pushed me as a painter and taught me a great deal about the process,” Story added.
The entries have been chosen for this year's annual juried exhibition. Thank you to all who entered.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there will not be an awards reception this year, but we will make the awards announcements online at 11:00am on 26 September.
The exhibit can be viewed in our Solomon Gallery 15 September - 17 October, during normal business hours. Tues - Sat 10am - 4pm
The artist community is a vital part of Spartanburg and we have all been feeling the pain and anxiety of coping with the Covid 19 pandemic. Many have been coping with it by making art.
Sign up will be through our website. Date for signing up will be announced very soon. First 100 entries will be accepted.
We are calling all artists of the community to sign-up and bring a work they made during this time and exhibit it in our largest gallery - Solomon Gallery. It will run through the months of January and February so that the community will have an opportunity to see the works created by local artists during the pandemic of 2020.
We look forward to hosting this historic event.
The Shops at Artists Collective | Spartanburg Our Online Store
100's of artworks by our members are online to view and purchase.
Like other arts organizations, we are facing financial loss. We have had to cancel 19 exhibits and our fund raiser "Sparkle and Shine." Opportunities for grants are limited or reduced due to limited income by the granting organizations. We are trying hard to come up with ways to continue our support of local artists even with limited funds.
We believe in what we do and know that we have made a big impact on this community, and regionally. If you can, please donate whatever you can by going to: artistscollectivespartanburg.org/donate.
