What to Expect
In this creative and engaging workshop, participants will begin by selecting from a variety of pre-designed sketches to create an ink drawing. Then, under the guidance of Tipton, you’ll learn techniques for applying coffee as a painting medium, much like watercolors. Using various brushwork methods and layering effects, you’ll transform your drawing into a beautifully toned coffee painting.
Whether you’re a seasoned artist looking to try something new or a beginner interested in exploring a unique medium, this workshop offers a relaxing and inspiring experience in an intimate, supportive setting.
Meet the Instructor: Tipton Jones-Boiter
Tipton Jones-Boiter is a visual artist and musician from Upstate South Carolina with over 30 years of professional experience. She began her artistic career as a muralist and faux finisher at the age of 16 and later shifted to creating custom commissions, primarily portraits of people and pets. Tipton also draws inspiration from her most memorable dreams, incorporating surreal elements into her paintings. Her preferred mediums include acrylic on canvas and prepared coffee on paper, making her the perfect guide for this workshop.
