Although I have always enjoyed being creative, I have the most experience with photography and fused and mosaic glass. I make a number of mosaic glass pieces – artwork, trays, and tables. Recently, I have discovered my love for ceramics, especially glazing and surface decoration. You will find me throwing mid-fire stoneware pottery on the wheel as often as I can. I hope to make beautiful functional pieces – planters, mugs, bowls and trays that can add color and light to everyday life. My mosaic glass and ceramic pieces experiment with form, color and pattern.
Most of my interests focus on light in some fashion. Capturing the moment with photography. Filtering or reflecting light with stained glass or mosaics. Most recently, I have learned to create pottery that allows me to use ceramic glazes and surface decoration on functional forms. I am also a Master Gardener. Whenever possible, I try to incorporate plants (making ceramic planters and using botanical and natural imagery) in my pieces.
