Limited to 12 participants
Join nationally acclaimed watercolor artist Dwight Rose for a bold, expressive, and hands-on one-day workshop: When Watercolors Misbehave Awe-Inspiringly. Known for his energetic and vibrant approach to watercolor, Dwight will guide participants through a full day of creative exploration designed to help artists embrace spontaneity, master the medium’s quirks, and develop their own dynamic style. With interactive exercises, real-time demonstrations, and one-on-one instruction, this workshop promises to be as practical as it is inspiring.
“My approach to painting involves working quickly and with broad strokes, aiming to achieve dynamic movement and a wide range of colors on the paper. I believe that more is better, and watercolor allows me to accomplish this approach. I wet areas, scrub them out, add and subtract, create and destroy, and repeat the process continuously, adjusting throughout. My painting technique, as well as the final product, is highly energetic and fluid.” – Dwight Rose
Participants will engage in:
- Personal guidance to discover your ideal medium
- Step-by-step demos of Dwight’s energetic, subtractive techniques
