Spartanburg artist Addam Duncan’s latest paintings will be presented in “Perpetual Motion,” an exhibition July 1 through 26 in Gallery II of the Artists Collective | Spartanburg.
An artist’s reception will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 17, as part of Spartanburg ArtWalk. The reception and exhibition viewing are free and open to the public. The 20-plus pieces in the show will be offered for sale with prices ranging from $60 to $1,200.
The works in oil, watercolor and gouache are paintings of “life’s circle and other surrealism,” says Duncan, a native of Spartanburg who has been an artist for 44 years. “My work evolves, and everything I paint doesn’t have to be tangible subject matter.”
Duncan says he likes “complements whether they are words or color. With a brain wired for beauty, I am interested in making things that create interest.”
