What You’ll Learn
This workshop will introduce a variety of exciting watercolor techniques that will help you add dimension and preserve highlights in your paintings. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced painter, you’ll discover creative ways to bring your watercolor works to life.
Some of the techniques covered will include:
🎨 Wax Crayons & Masking Fluid – Preserve highlights effortlessly
🎨 Lifting & Scraping – Create soft textures and layered effects
🎨 Salt & Sgraffito – Add stunning organic textures
🎨 Gouache & Dry Brushing – Enhance contrast and detail
Participants will first practice these techniques on a separate sheet before incorporating them into a beautiful snowy landscape painting.

Meet the Instructor
Tipton Jones-Boiter is a seasoned visual artist and musician from Upstate South Carolina. With over 30 years of experience, Tipton began her career as a muralist and faux finisher before transitioning to commissioned portrait work. Her unique artistic style is influenced by her most memorable dreams, inspiring her surrealistic paintings. While she primarily works with acrylic on canvas and prepared coffee on paper, her expertise extends to a variety of mediums, including watercolor.
